Respected Scholars, Imams, and Members of the Muslim Ummah,
Assalamu Alaikom Wa Rahmatu Allahe Barakatuh,,
On this momentous occasion, we extend our warmest greetings to all of you. As we inaugurate The Global Imams and Scholars Council (GISC), we are also humbled by the significance of Eid ul Adha, a sacred festival that holds a special place in our hearts. This blessed occasion allows us to commemorate the profound lessons of sacrifice and devotion exemplified by our beloved Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
Today, as we launch The Global Imams and Scholars Council (GISC) on the auspicious day of 9th Dhul Hijjah, the Day of Arafat, we come together to address the values and concerns that resonate within the Muslim Ummah.
We are proud to count the following esteemed organisations as part of GISC:
1. The British Board of Scholars & Imams (BBSI)
2. Australian National Imams Council (ANIC)
3. Canadian Council of Imams (CCI)
4. North American Imams Fellow (NAIF)
5. United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA)
6. Jamiatul Ulemah South Africa (JUSA)
7. Ulama Council of New Zealand (UCNZ)
Together, we form a vibrant tapestry of backgrounds and regions, fostering unity and knowledge within the Muslim community. With over 3000 members, encompassing diverse linguistic capabilities in 30+ languages and representing 15+ ethnicities across 4 continents, GISC’s impact spans the globe.
Our collective vision is to promote well-being, understanding, and collaboration among scholars and imams worldwide. By uniting in this noble endeavor, we aspire to strengthen the bonds that bind the Muslim Ummah, fostering greater unity and collective progress.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed to the establishment of GISC. May Allah bless our collective efforts as we strive to uplift and empower the Muslim community.
With sincerity and humility,,
Regards,
The Global Imams and Scholars Council (GISC)
